I want to switch to the old invoice template

I've got you covered on how to switch back to the old invoice experience in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @sailmakerchip

To begin, please know that the layout of invoices in QBO was recently updated, impacting all QBO editions. While change can be challenging to adjust to, we made these adjustments to enhance the user experience and make the invoicing process more efficient for all.

If you wish to go back to the old invoice experience, please note that it's only available for selected users, including QuickBooks Plus, and Advanced. QuickBooks Simple Start and Essentials users don't have the option to revert to the old layout as this update has been rolled out.

If you're not a Simple Start and Essential user and want to switch back to the old layout, here's how:

  1. Click on the + New button.
  2. Select Invoice
  3. Click on the Old Layout button located in the top-right corner of the screen.
  4. Press the Switch to the old layout button.

Furthermore, regardless of which invoice experience you are using, you have the freedom to select and utilize your old sales form templates, utilize the default template, or create your own template and make it the default one for your invoices.
