I want to totally delete my inventory, including all items within and start again. how do i do that?

It would be nice to be able to delete old inactive items.  We have imported item list from 10-15 years ago and changed some of the items and subitems to better categorize and it would be nice to get rid of all the old inactive custom items codes we had...can this be done. ?

@Quality856

If you are using QB Desktop, you can purchase a 3rd party condense service to remove unused item list.

Let me emphasize the details about being able to delete inactive items in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @Quality856.

Currently, the option to delete inactive items is unavailable. However, please know that making an item inactive is already equivalent to deleting it in the program.

In the meantime, I recommend submitting a feature request so our dedicated software engineers can carefully review your suggestion and potentially incorporate it into our future product implementations. To do that:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under Profile, select Feedback.
  3. Provide a brief description of your feature request and click Next.

Additionally, you may want to utilize categories in QBO to gain better insights into your sales and inventory when running reports.

We truly appreciate your input and the time you've taken to share it with the community. Feel free to reach out if you have other questions about deleting items. We're always here to answer your queries. Take care.
