I would like to have reimbursements made through the payroll process to go to a specific expense category instead of "reimbursement" category.

I would like to have reimbursements made through the payroll process to go to a specific expense category instead of "reimbursement" category.

Thank you for dropping by, @dhenderlight-crs.

 

I want to ensure that any payroll reimbursements go to the right account.

 

The category can be changed and corrected in the Payroll settings. I'll show you how to do it:

 

  1. Select the Gear icon. Then, go to the Payroll settings
  2. Click on the Edit (pencil) icon for Accounting Preferences.
  3. Hit the Edit (pencil) icon under the Wage expenses section.
  4. From the Reimbursement drop-down, select the expense category where you want reimbursements to go.
  5. Once done, click on Continue, Done, Done.
