If I make a Class inactive in QBO does the data stay or disappear?

I want to inactivate some Classes, but don't want to lose the data.

If I make a Class inactive in QBO does the data stay or disappear?

You won't lose the data associated with an inactive class, cstraley3.

 

Your data remains, and an inactive class will show as deleted on the report. See the attached screenshot to see the actual information.

 

If you wish to activate a class, the following steps outlined below will guide you through:

 

  1. Go to Settings, then All lists.
  2. Choose Classes.
  3. Click the Gear icon, then mark the Include inactive box.

  4. Locate the class, then click Make active.
