"The option... is unavailable", doesn't make any sense. I don't know why you guys all write like that.
Also, "through Excel" doesn't make any sense.
Do you mean:
"Currently, QuickBooks Online does not have the ability to import a journal entry using an Excel worksheet as the source."?
Because, if so, that would actually make sense.
QBO does not have importing enabled in the US. They do internationally. They will lie that it is related to accounting standards. Accounting standards have no bearing on importing journals.
