Import accounts receivable and accounts payable opening balance in foreign currency from othersoftware

Hi All

Need your kind advice . I am trying to import acs receivables and payable opening balances in foreign currency into the new chart of accounts I have created. Previously the accounts is kept in another software.
I tried to use the import function but it dr acs receivable cr sales and not cr retained earnings opening balances. What should I do to import the accounts receivables and agreed the balance in balance sheet with the ageing report

Prepare your trial balance from the old program and use a 3rd party tool to import the data as the beginning balance for each account by Journal Entry.
