Importing invoices via Excel file isn’t possible at the moment in QuickBooks Desktop, @JCasullo. No worries, I’ve got ways to get these transactions uploaded successfully and accurately.
The first workaround is to utilize Intuit Interchange Format (IIF) files. These files simplified the transfer of data to and from different platforms to better manage company records in QuickBooks. You can read these guides and download the sample for more information and your reference:
When ready, you can proceed to the following steps below to start uploading. Just make sure to back up your company file before doing the process. This way, you can restore it anytime in case an unexpected happens.
- Sign in to your company file as an admin. If you’re in Multi-user mode, go to the File menu, then select Switch to Single-user Mode.
- Go back to the File menu, then select Utilities.
- Click Import, then choose IIF Files.
- Select the IIF file you want to upload, then press Open.
- Hit OK to confirm.
