Importing IIF files

Currently I am using QB 2020 Desktop Pro and am looking to upgrade to QB 2022.  Ideally I'd like to migrate to the online version but have seen that it does not support IIF import, only XLS or csv.  That being the case, I am wondering if any one has been able to simply save the iif files as XLS via excel and import them to QB Online?  (I'm importing invoices and bills from another software system via Azure).  Alternatively I could live with QB Desktop 2022 if the format used in 2020 will still work in 2022.  The toolkit I originally had our iif files built from was from 2016 and worked in QB Pro 2020.  I saw there was an update in 2019 but again, our 2020 version has been working.  I compared the sample files and they look similar but the column headers we're using are a little different then both but still are working w/QB 2020.  I'd prefer not to have to monkey around with format changes as we had to pay quite a bit to our 3rd party software vendor to get it to work originally and it took them a considerable amount of time to get it to work, hoping to avoid that if possible

Importing IIF files

Utilize the trial version for QBD 2022 to upgrade your files and try to import your IIF files to make sure it still works. Another option, you can migrate data from QB Desktop 2020 to QB Online.

But you will need additional manual works to save the IIF files from your app as CSV or XLS. Then you have to use an importer tool to proceed.
