Join nowHi there, @jacquijax. Let me help you go over essential details concerning the Square importation limits in QuickBooks Online.
We are limited to importing 1,000 rows at a time. If your list is longer than that, I suggest breaking it down into smaller files. Furthermore, it's important to know that once you've imported a list, you can't undo it.
Additionally, adhering to proper spreadsheet format aids in the successful import of items into QuickBooks Online. See details below:

Thank you for replying.
I'm not importing a spreadsheet - I am connected through the app. On the "App Transactions" page within Banking I am trying to add a day's transactions but I am getting that message.
Thank you.
Thank you for the additional information, @jacquijax . I'll point you in the right direction to get this sorted out so you can proceed to add the transaction into your QuickBooks Online (QBO).

I am having the same problem. Did you find a fix for this?
Hi there, @brfordyce.
I've come with a solution that can help fix your issue with syncing transactions from Square.
Our product engineers did an investigation on this issue and found out that this happens when the item is tracked as an Inventory item instead of a Service or Non-Inventory. Since the item is actually a non-inventory item, there won't be any quantity associated with it. Thus, it's the reason why you receive an error when adding them to QuickBooks.
To get this fixed, you'll want to mark the item as a service or non-inventory item and add them to your QuickBooks Online. Also, I suggest having Square validate the items being added as inventory/tracked or as Service/Non-inventory.
This should resolve your issue, @brfordyce. You may also want to learn more about importing your Square transactions in QuickBooks. You can check out this article for the detailed steps and information: Connect your Square account to QuickBooks Online.
Please let me know how it goes in the comment section below. I'm only a post away if you have any follow-up questions.
Hi Mark. All the items in the transactions are non-inventory items in quickbooks. I believe the issue is related to partial payments. I had three different groups of transactions that would not accept. These were all on three different days. Each of these groups had a transaction where a partial payment was made in cash along with credit card. I also noticed the cash part of the transactions had not shown in the cash transaction imports that I had accepted.
I believe the import process has a problem accepting transactions that have been paid using two methods such as credit card and cash.
Hi there, @brfordyce.
Thanks for getting back to us.
When you have Square connected in QuickBooks Online, there isn't a way to move the money out transactions. However, you can import them manually.
Since you're having issues with the import, I recommend contacting our Technical Support Team. This way, an agent can review your account in a secure environment and use their tools to screen share with you. During the screen share, the agent can help walk you through the process and see exactly how you're currently importing the transactions. You can use the link I've included below to connect with an agent directly.
Additionally, you can see the help article Connect your Square account, that my colleague shared above, for further details about imports.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Take care!
