In my desktop version I would normally duplicate the previous year journal entry and then just change the obvious date and dollar amount. How can I do that with QBO?

These entries are recurring journal entries like annual subscriptions, accountant services, etc.

As long as you are using Essentials or above you can memorize transactions. The option button usually hides at the bottom of your screen sometimes in "more"

and what you described doing in desktop was not necessarily setting an automatic recurring posting but creating a copy, which you can do in Simple Start although you cannot use Bill's to manage vendors

Hello John,

Thanks for your response!  How can I copy a previous journal entry and then simply change the date and dollar amount in Simple Start?

Thanks for the reply, @djrankin.

You can make a copy of the Journal Entry in just a couple of steps. I'm here to show you. I've provided the steps below:

  1. Open the Journal Entry you're needing to copy.
  2. In the footer or at the bottom of the window, press on More then select Copy.

That's all there's to it! Now you have a copy of the Journal Entry.
