In QB self employed, is it possible to sort line items on an invoice by date?

Hi there, @userspmoroz.

Yes, you can randomly adjust the line items of your invoice in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). You can do it by selecting what item comes first, next, and so on. I'm adding this screenshot for your visual reference.

If you want to adjust the sorting of your invoices from the Invoices page, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Invoices section.
  2. Tap on the arrow beside the Date column to rearrange your invoices by date.

For additional hints while working with your invoices in QBSE, you can check out these articles:

On the other hand, here's how you can learn more about tracking and categorizing your income and expense entries:

If you have any other questions about sorting the line items of your invoices, let me know by adding a comment below. I'll be right here to help. Wishing you a good one!

I'm sorry, I'm not understanding from screenshot how to accomplish what i need to do.

on any given invoice i create, the line items are not entered in chronological order. Can i sort by chronological order (like in Excel)?

Thank you

It’s nice to see you in the Community, @userspmoroz. Here's what I know about sorting invoices by date in QBSE.

Currently, QuickBooks Self-Employed does not offer the option to sort invoices by date (QBSE). I can see why including this feature is critical for your company's organization. I recommend providing feedback to our product engineers directly so that it can be considered for future improvements.

To contact our support, here’s how:

  1. In your company, tap the Assistant menu in the upper right corner to open the QB Assistant screen.
  2. Navigate to the Type something field and enter the issue or topic. For example, send product suggestions.
  3. Once you see the Add a feature menu, click on it to see the Got it. What feature would you add? Option.
  4. Key in ideas in the Type something field box and then send it.

If you have any more queries about invoicing or other QBSE-related concerns, please let me know. I'm always willing to lend a hand. Have a wonderful day!
