Yes, you can randomly adjust the line items of your invoice in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE). You can do it by selecting what item comes first, next, and so on. I'm adding this screenshot for your visual reference.

I'm sorry, I'm not understanding from screenshot how to accomplish what i need to do.
on any given invoice i create, the line items are not entered in chronological order. Can i sort by chronological order (like in Excel)?

Currently, QuickBooks Self-Employed does not offer the option to sort invoices by date (QBSE). I can see why including this feature is critical for your company's organization. I recommend providing feedback to our product engineers directly so that it can be considered for future improvements.
