In trying to correct a liability account by reversing a journal entry I used the wrong date and repeated my mistake again. can i delete my errors and start over

Yes, you can delete the incorrect journal entry and start over, Jl.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Open the reversed journal entry.
  2. Click on More, then select Delete.

  3. Review the confirmation prompt, then click Delete Transaction.

Once done, you can start reversing the journal entry again. I suggest consulting your accountant to ensure everything is accurate.
