Income not showing up

I just setup my account. Linked my bank accounts. Transferred all the transactions but It doesn't show any income from deposits we received.

Income not showing up

I see that you recently added your bank account to QuickBooks Online yet no income transactions from deposits have been uploaded, @NK94555.

QBO won't download any transactions older than 90 days. The missing transactions could be older transactions, which is why your feed doesn't display them. I advise manually uploading them in order to get transactions that are older than 90 days. Here's how:

  1. Select Bookkeeping then go to Transactions then choose Bank transactions, or navigate to Bank transactions.
  2. Pick the blue tile for the account you want to upload the transactions into.
  3. Go to the Link account dropdown and then click on Upload from file.
  4. Choose Drag and drop or select files. Then click on Continue.
  5. Go to the QuickBooks account ▼ dropdown, and pick the account you want to upload the transactions into. Then hit Continue.
  6. Go through the onscreen steps to match the columns on the file with the right fields in QuickBooks. Then hit Continue.
  7. Choose the transactions you would like to import. Then hit Continue.
  8. Click on Yes.
  9. Once you accept transactions, click on Done.

In case the issue persists, I recommend getting in touch with your financial institution. This allows them to check on the problem further and provide you with the best resolution to it.

Income not showing up

It doesn't make sense. After linking the bank, it imported all the bank transaction for the year. It has details of all credits (deposits made to bank) or the expenses. It got all the expenses, then why it can't pick all the deposits into the bank as income. I have every day credit card payment from my customers, which get deposit to my bank, that's all income.

Income not showing up

Allow me to provide some information about deposits in QuickBooks Online, NK94555.

For actual payment transactions, deposits will never appear as income in the Profit and Loss report. It's because payment transactions never use income accounts. Rather, they pay invoices that use income. You'll want to record these payments as deposits instead, then use an income account on the deposit page. Once done, this will surely show up on your Profit & Loss report. Here's how:

  1. Go to the + New icon.
  2. Select Bank Deposit.
  3. Enter a deposit. Make sure to select an income under the Account field
  4. Click Save and close.

I would also suggest reaching out to our accountant to double-check other ways how to record the transactions which will show as income. Furthermore, learn from this article how QuickBooks looks for and tries to match with transactions that you've already entered in QuickBooks: Categorize And Match Online Bank Transactions In QuickBooks Online.
