I am creating an invoice in Quickbooks that involves services from multiple estimates. When I add 1 of the 2 estimates, I get notified that "All billable items have been added to the invoice" when there is, in fact, a second estimate.
A few things:
1. Both estimates are open
2. This only happens when I add estimate 1 first
3. Opening the invoice in incognito mode did not work.
How can I add the second estimate? Help is much appreciated.
Hello there, @asdgamar. I'm here to help you add the estimates to the invoice in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
In QBO, you'll have to ensure that you select the correct estimates. In case this estimate was already added to another invoice, I recommend deleting and recreating the transaction and adding it again.
You can also delete and recreate the estimates and add them again to the invoice.
For reference, please check this article: Convert an estimate into an invoice in QuickBooks Online.
On the other hand, you can select the Add All button to convert all the estimates to an invoice.
I'll include this helpful resource that you can use as a guide in case you want to create invoices from project expenses in QBO: Invoice customers for project expenses in QuickBooks Online.
I'm just around the corner to help if you have any other concerns about managing invoices in QBO, please don't hesitate to post again here. Have a good one and stay safe.
Hi Divina,
Thank you for responding. I would like to add a few more details about my question to give a better picture of my issue.
I use progress invoicing in QuickBooks, and our business often involves billing for a portion of a few estimates in a single invoice. One of the estimates just so happens to disappear when I add the other two. I believe this is a glitch but maybe there is a workaround?
I'll paint the picture:
I hope this helps. My issue is that I often decide I need to add items from the elusive third estimate but can no longer do so once I have added the other two. I often have to restart invoices.
What I may have to do is use the Add All button and unlink the estimates I do not need, thank you.
