increase number of characters allowed in a template field

We use QB;s Premier Contractor Edition 2011. I know it is old, but it serves our purpose.

Our invoice template contains the "Project Description" field. It prints out as a large field, but it only allows a fairly small amount of characters. We often go over the allotment. Is there any way to change the number of characters allowed?? Thank you

increase number of characters allowed in a template field

Hey there, @donm8.

Currently, there's no option to increase the number of characters allowed in a template field in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

I suggest using the Memo field to enter additional details for the project description.

To learn more about the maximum number of characters you can enter in each field, you can check out this article: Character limitations for fields in QuickBooks.

Please let me know if you have further concerns about increasing the number of characters in a field. I'm here to help.

Thank you for confirming that. I have gone thru everything I ca find but nothing worked. I had a feeling there was no fix. I don't understand why such a large field would have those restrictions on it? Thanks again
