Let's work together and fix the invoice that is marked paid while being created in QuickBooks.
In the meantime, I have a couple of suggestions to help you get rid of invoice being marked as paid.
This might be caused by a simple browser issue (latency issues and whatnot). We can close and reopen the browser, then access your QBO account again.
If you're unable to get rid of message appears on the invoice, then this is likely caused by a cache-related problem. When a browser's cache is full or if there's a corrupted webpage data, it can cause strange behaviors in QuickBooks.
To confirm this, we can use an incognito or private window (it doesn't use the existing cache data, which is good for spotting cache-related issues):
- Google Chrome: Press CTRL + Shift + N.
- Safari: Press Command + Shift + N.
- Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + P.
Log in to QuickBooks, then access the invoice. When you're able to do so, go back to the regular browser and clear the cache. This removes the existing cache data that's causing the issue.
Close any browser instances afterwards to complete the process.
Alternatively, we can use another supported browser.
