Invoices and Journal transactions

Using the API I insert a number of invoices.  The invoices will automatically trigger journal Transactions that I can see from the "More" button.  In the journal I can see the Line items from my Invoice as well as a Line that contains the balance amount of the invoice applied by default to the Accounts Receivable(A/R)

When I set up a journal entry manually, I can select any account from the list of accounts (not only Accounts Receivable).

Is there a way to set up the invoices to automatically show the balance in a different account(not accounts receivable)?

Thank you.

Invoices and Journal transactions

Good evening, @verdulino

It's great to see a new face here in the Community. I can provide you with some information about this issue.

With invoices, all of them go to A/R until your customer pays the balance.

Journal entries let you move money between accounts and force your books to balance in specific ways.

Thank you so much for your answer.  Now I wonder if there is a way to find out the Journal Entry id for the entry created for my invoice. Is that possible based on Invoice id or some other identifier of the invoice?  I'm thinking of identifying the Journal and doing a full update of the Journal entry with the account ref changed to the account I need.

Thank you!
