Is it possible to upload a receipt using QB's Rest APIs that appears at the Receipt(New) tab?

Hello there, bajrang-hudda.

You can venture to the third-party apps available for QuickBooks Online and link it with your company. Some of them have an extensive style of capturing your receipts.

If you're not able to link the app, you can record it manually by creating an Expense transaction. Here's how to do that:

  1. Go to the Hamburger icon and click the + New button.
  2. Select Expense or Cheque.
  3. Enter the necessary fields, then click Save and close.

Count me in if you need anything else. I'll be here to help. Stay safe.

Thanks @MarsStephanieL ,

But I want to upload a receipt at receipt tab, using only rest API. I am a developer and trying to make life easier by just uploading receipts quickly. Forward this question to our developer team, if it's possible it will be easy for me.

I'm here to ensure you'll get the right support in uploading a receipt at the Receipts tab using the Rest API only, @bajrang-hudda.

We have a separate and dedicated forum that handles API concerns for QuickBooks Online (QBO). This is the place where developers, like you, engage with others to discuss programming issues. I'd suggest posting your question from there. That way, our product developers can consider your request to upload a receipt using the Rest API only. I'll guide you how.

  1. Go to this link: https://help.developer.intuit.com/s/.
  2. Choose QuickBooks Online under What do you need help with?
  3. Click Ask a Question
  4. Log into your existing Intuit Developer Account or create a new one.
  5. Enter Upload A Receipt Using Rest APIs At The Receipts Tab as your concern.
  6. Click Ask

The screenshot below shows you the last two steps.

Furthermore, you can always utilize the Rest API essentials to help you get going with the software's API. Just go to the API Docs & Tools menu. Then, select QuickBooks Online and choose Rest API features from the left panel. View the screenshot below for your visual reference.

Please let me know if you need anything else. I'll gladly help, @bajrang-hudda.
