Is there a Transaction Register report that will show split details - online version?

In QBO, we can pull up the Transaction List with Splits report and then customize it to show the specific details of your transactions. However, please know that this report is exclusive to QBO Essentials, Plus, and Advanced subscriptions. Follow the steps below to proceed:

1. Go to the Reports menu.
2. In the search field, you can enter and click on Transaction List with Splits report.
3. Select the date range from the Report period.
4. Choose the correct Accounting method.
5. Tap on the Customize button, then click Filter.
6. You can also click the Change columns link, then place a checkmark next to the information you want to see.
7. Choose Run report.

If you want to view the complete transaction details, simply click on the amounts to display the details.

It is a shame that the data we put into SPLIT transactions is not available to us when using Simple Start. Is there any way to get a full dump of data in another way since Intuit holds our data hostage and only allows us to report on it correctly by paying a much higher monthly fee. There should be a way for us to access the data.

I hear your sentiments, Kinstone. I completely understand the importance of having a report that'll help you view all your split transactions.

While the Transaction List with Splits is unavailable in the Simple Start version, we can run and customize the Transaction List by Date instead. I'll show you how:

1. Go to the Reports menu.
2. Type in Transaction List by Date in the Search field.
   
   
3. If you're in the modern interface, click Switch to classic view.
   
   
4. Select Customize.
   
   
5. Modify the dates.
6. Under Row/Columns, place a checkmark beside Split, then reorder the other fields.
7. You can also go to Filter to decide which data you want to view.
8. Once done, hit Run report.
   
   

Once the modification is complete, the report will reflect the changes as shown in the screenshot I've included below. 

In addition, QuickBooks Online allows you to generate reports to view snapshots of your business. And you can export them to Excel to modify the data further.

Glad to be here in the Community. I can assist in getting the report you require in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

The Transaction List with Splits report that my colleague mentioned is exclusive to QuickBooks Online (QBO). However, there's a report in QBDT that can display split transactions, which is the Transaction List by Customer report. You can customize this report and include the Split column to view the split transactions.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Reports menu at the top menu.

2. On the drop-down, choose Customers & Receivables, then Transaction List by Customer.

3. Click Customize Report on the upper left.

4. On the Display tab, enter Split under Columns and put a checkmark beside the result.

5. Once done, select OK.

Any way to add dates per line item? Crazy this doesn't show up as default

Hello. I am running Transaction List with Splits reports. This does not include dates per line item within the report. I need those for each transaction on the report. OR I need a report that shows the payment source and date per transaction without having to click per transaction to find all the info. I am tasked with going back 10 years for a client to provide to legal.

Let's customize the report to show the data you need. Here's how:

1. Hover to the Reports, and enter Transaction List with Splits in the search bar. 
2. Select your preferred date range in the Report period. 
3. Click Customize, and select Change columns. 
4. Tick Date and Payment Method, also known as Payment Source (You can tick another word you want to include). 
5. Once done, hit Run report.
