Is there a way to autopay a contractor on a regular basis with QuickBooks?

a sahreholder distribution needs to be made every two weeks. I set the person up as a contractor in the system. Is there a way to set up auto-pay biweekly for this process?

Thank you for posting your concern here in the Community, Vicki.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) offers various features for your business. However, setting up autopay on a contractor regularly is currently unavailable. In this case, I suggest using a third-party app.

You can visit the App page on your QBO account, and from there you can search for which application suits your needs. I’ll be providing you with steps on how to get there:

  1. Log into your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. At the left navigation bar, choose Apps.
  3. Look for the app you wish to connect by clicking on the magnifying glass bar or using the Browse Category.

Furthermore, you can check out this page with different applications you can integrate into your QBO: The app helps QuickBooks run better.

To learn more about the apps that Intuit supports and how to get help when you need it, see this article: Apps that work with QuickBooks Online.

Let me know in the comments below if you have more questions about auto-paying your contractor in QBO. I’ll be eager to help you at any time.

@vicki-stoller-gm

You can signup for a free Melio account to integrate with QBO.

https://affiliates.meliopayments.com/quickbooks

You will make 2 sets of monthly recurring payments and complete the following information

a. Bill amount: Enter the amount that will be deducted every time.

b. Payment frequency: Set the payment frequency to monthly

c. Number of payments: Choose the number of payments you want to set up for this recurring payment, up to 24 months

d. First payment to arrive on: Select the date you want your payment to be delivered every time.

e. Note to self: Add a note to remind yourself what this payment is for.

You can also get $100 cashback to pay the first bill. Make sure to click the cashback button to sign up.
