Join nowPo's can not be customized in plus, I am not sure about advanced but I doubt it
Thanks for your reply.
This is a major omission on the part of QB.
I hope that someone on the QB team is paying attention? My response is directed at QB, and not the user who responded to my question: Even if QB can’t provide the customization level that is offered with invoices, fields such as “approved” and “signature” should be made optional. Signed POs may have been prevalent in the last century, but in these days of paperless transactions, it is the exception - not the rule.
This forces users to sign a PO on paper or eSign a PDF -or- manually edit PDF versions of a PO. In either case, it can’t be sent from the system without an external action. Or, our POs have a space for signature, but left blank: which will seem incomplete to some vendors.
Please fix this ASAP, at least remove the two lines. If someone needs signed POs have a separate template for them, or let them add it externally.
Thanks for your reply.
This comment is addressed to anyone from QB who may be interested in improving the product:
Please fix this ASAP. Signed POs are not the norm in a world that is moving towards paperless transactions. If there are users who need to use signed POs, please have a template for them ... but don’t force all users to go outside the system to edit POs (either to sign them, or to remove those fields).
The alternative for users is to send unsigned POs that have a place for signatures. To some vendors this indicates that the PO is not properly authorized.
Hi, ap5129497-gmail-.
Allow me to help share some information regarding customizing purchase orders in QuickBooks Online Plus.
The option to customize and delete the approval and signature as well as categories on purchase orders is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online. You can only customize the sales form (Invoices, Sale Receipts, and Estimates).
We always welcome ideas from customers that can enhance our software. Customizing the Purchase Orders is one of the most requested features. I'll take note of this and add it to our list of proposals.
While this feature isn’t in our development roadmap right now, we are working on big improvements that will be helpful for the majority of our customers, and you’ll see those rolling out soon through our QuickBooks Blog.
Also, I'd suggest you register for our Newsletter. This way, you’ll receive email updates about new product changes and hopefully, this feature would be one of them.
Here's how to register for our Newsletter:
To help guide you with utilizing your sales form templates in QuickBooks Online as well as on what other information you can add, you can go through the following write-up: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.
If you have any other customization concerns or need help with anything in QuickBooks or purchase orders, please let me know. I want to make sure you're taken care of. Have a great rest of your day!
Thanks for your reply.
I appreciate the opportunity to subscribe to the QB newsletter, and will certainly do so.
But your response raises a question: if this is one of the most requested features from customers, then why isn’t it on your development roadmap? This seems like a major disconnect for a company like QB.
Please express the urgency of this request to your development team.
regards,
ap
I realize this is an old thread, but I 100% echo the sentiments shared so eloquently by @ap5129497-gmail-
This is a very simple fix, it seems, because QBO already offers customization of Invoices, Estimates and Sales Receipts. Hard to imagine a separate PDF engine would be used for POs/Payables. @Rose-A Being a highly requested feature, has this been added to the development roadmap for anytime soon? Can you please let us know if the features request board or roadmap is available for viewing by public or QBO users? Thank you.
