It's a pleasure to have you here, @dlwilla5693. Let me share with you some details about adding and removing accounts in the dashboard.
The Bank accounts, regardless if they have a live bank feed connection or not, it will show up on your Dashboard as long as the type is either Cash at the bank and in hand or Credit Card. Other account types won't show up, such as Accounts Receivable, Fixed asset, etc.
To remove the account, you can either disconnect or make this inactive in the Chart of Accounts. Take note that when you disconnect, QuickBooks deletes transactions that still need to be categorized in the For Review tab. While inactivating an account will change your balance.

That didn't work. The inactive worked but I have a petty cash account that is not in the banking so does not have the option to disconnect on save. Yet it still appears on the dashboard. I want to add other accounts to the dashboard but they are not bank accounts. Thank you.
