Is there a way to get an A/R summary by Class?

Hello there, @accounting369.

The option to run the Accounts Receivable (A/R) report by class is unavailable. As an alternative, you can customize the Sales by Class Detail report to show the class column.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. On the search bar, type in Sales by Class Detail and then click to open.
  3. Click Customize.
  4. Under the Report period, enter the correct date.
  5. Under Group by on the Rows/column, select Class.
  6. Then, click Change columns.
  7. Put a checkmark in the box beside Class.
  8. On the Filter column, click the Distribution Account drop-down menu, then choose All Accounts receivables (A/R) Accounts.
  9. Click the A/R Paid drop-down menu and select Unpaid.
  10. Once done, click Run report.

Also, you may want to consider memorizing the report to save its current customized settings.

Please feel free to leave a message on this post if you need further assistance. I'll be around to help.

Let me provide another workaround, kupe.

You'll want to run the Account Receivable transaction report from the Balance Sheet. It let you group the report by Class.

Add Class to the A/R Transaction Report:

  1. Go to the Reports tab. Select Balance Sheet from the Business overview section.
  2. On the line for Accounts Receivable, click the amount. Inside the Transaction Report, set your desired date range.
  3. Click the tiny Gear icon in the top-right of the report, select Show more and check the box for Class.
  4. Now the Group by drop-down will display Class as an option, allowing you to further organize the report.

Here's a brief video demonstrating the process:

This will enable you to group your report with whichever column data you'd like. We also offer a guide on sorting reports by Class for your convenience.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
