Is there a way to insert a variable for month & year inside the description of a reccuring invoice? I do monthly billing where the customer needs to see current month/yr.

I ended up using a custom field for the month, then making a macro with a little program called tiny task that opens each invoice automatically and inserts the month, saves the invoice and goes to the next invoice and repeats till finished.

That automation saves me a huge amount of time.

It's a drama, but saves me from having to shift to another provider.

Hello. What is the status of this request? Now being in 2024, this feature is expected even more to be in a system as mature as QBO.

Correct. It is easy to just change to a different provider. I moved to Xero with another company that I have and it works great.

They keep raising subscriptions justifying that they are making a better product. But it's all a joke and a money grab. Going to look at Xero as suggested.

Hi there, arogers.

I'll share information about the updates with this feature.

I recognize how beneficial it is for your business, but please know that we're unable to provide a specific time frame for this to be implemented into our program. Thus, this still depends on the number of requests this gets.

In the meantime, you'll want to consider looking for a third-party application that can help you add variables to your invoices. I'll show you how to find one:

  1. Go to your Apps menu.
  2. Enter a keyword on the Search field, then select the app.
  3. Click the OverviewPricingReviews, and FAQs to view the information.

If you haven't yet sent feedback for this request, here are the steps to do so:

  1. Click the Gear icon and choose Feedback.
  2. Enter your feedback Suggestion.
  3. Press Next.

You can visit our Feedback forum to track the progress of your feature request.

Why do you keep posting this generic response?!

It's a waste of everybody's time.

I moved to Xero around 4 months ago.... it is WAAAAAYYYYY better than Quickbooks.

Took a little bit of getting used to, and certain aspects are a bit clunky, but I save so much time now compared to SlowBooks
