It's good to see you here, joshua.

You can pull the Customer Contact List report and customize it to show the Terms column. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Enter Customer Contact List in the search field.
  3. Click the Customized button.
  4. Select All in the Terms drop down.
  5. Click Run report
  6. Click the Gear icon within the report.
  7. Click Show More.
  8. Check the Terms box.
  9. Click Run report.

That's it! Fill me in if you have further questions. I'll be around if you need any help, joshua!

Is the Customer Contact List report still available in QBO? I can't find it anymore.

Thanks for chiming in this thread, martin_law23.

I'll help run the Customer Contact List report.

Yes, this report is available in QuickBooks Online. Since you're unable to find it, let's perform some troubleshooting steps to to fix it.

First, try viewing them in a private browser. This way, we can rule out if this isn't any cache related issue. Here's how:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl Shift N
  • Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: press Command Shift N

Once done, go back to regular browsing and clear the browser's cache. Using a different browser also helps (Internet Explorer, Chrome or Firefox).

If the report is still not showing, it's possible that you have limited access to customers. Please ask the Master Admin of the account to update your access rights.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in as admin in QBO
  2. Choose the Gear icon at the top.
  3. Under Your Company, select Manage Users.
  4. Find the name of the user. From the Action drop-down, choose Edit.
  5. Under the User type drop-down, select the type of access for  this user to have.
  6. For Standard user, check Customers under Limited.
  7. Click Save.

Once done, sign out and sign back in to QBO and run the Customer Contact List report.

That information should get you back in order. I'd like to make sure that you're able to resolve this concern, so please let me know how that works. Best regards.

Hi - I am using Premier 2022 QB and I do not have the options given to pull a customer list showing terms.

In QuickBooks Desktop, we can also run the Customer Contact List report to generate your customer terms.

  2. Under Customers & Receivables, select the Customer Contact List report.
  3. Click the Customize button.
  4. In the Columns search, select Terms and Customer.

When I go to customize the Customer list report, the term drop down option is greyed out (see screenshot below)... What am I doing wrong?

Hello there, mara. I can help you run the Customer List report in QuickBooks Online (QBO) with the Terms showing.

First off, I'd like to appreciate you for adding a screenshot as this gives me a visual representation of your scenario and would help me provide you with an appropriate solution.

In QuickBooks Online, we have the Modern View and Classic View when accessing reports. We've recently released the Modern View which is built using our latest technology platform and provide a different experience to users.

I've replicated your scenario here on my end and got the same result while using the Modern View. With that being said, I'd suggest switching to the Classic View to be able to Customize the report and show the Terms

I'm glad to include these screenshots for your visual reference:

Additionally, here's an article that'll help you memorize your report's current customization to save some of your time: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Online
