Is there a way to show the split detail on a Register Report (Desktop version)?

Do you mean when you click Print at the top of the register to open the Print Register window?  If so, then yes, check the little box labeled "Print splits detail".

Thanks for posting your concern in the Community space. Let me provide some information about the Split feature on the register page, LMBUILDERSnj.

The option to have more lines of register to show splits when viewing it is unavailable in QuickBooks Desktop. What we can do is to add a split transaction by clicking the Splits button on the register page. Then, enable the Print splits detail option to see the split transaction details once we print them. You can check out the screenshot below for your reference:

If you need to include split transactions on running reports for customers, we can run a quick report. Just customize the report to split as a column. Here's how:

     1. Open the customer center and choose a customer that has a split transaction.

     2. Click Quick Report on the right-hand side.

    3. Tap Customize report in the top left corner.

     4. Type in Split at the bottom left corner. Then, hit OK.
