It says that in order to create a sales receipt you must press the "+" button - in the tutorials, you see this button on the top of the page but I see it nowhere on mine.

It says that in order to create a sales receipt you must press the "+" button - in the tutorials, you see this button on the top of the page but I see it nowhere on mine.

I've got a few troubleshooting steps to show the + icon, lak84.

 

QuickBooks Online has an updated interface and the + icon is now located in the left navigation menu. If the icon is missing, we can press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page.

 

If you still don't see the + icon, we can do some of the basic troubleshooting steps by following these steps:

 

Open your QuickBooks account in an incognito or private browser, because this mode will not store cache.

  • Chrome press Ctrl+Shift+N.
  • Internet Explorer or Firefox, press Ctrl+Shift+P.
  • Safari, hold down Command+Shift+N.

Then, sign in to your QuickBooks account and check if you see the + New button. If it shows up, let's go back to your regular browser, then click this link to clear your browser's cache. This will fix any browser-related issues such as missing buttons or errors. 

 

You can also use other supported browser as an alternate solution.
