The Profit & Loss by Job report shows you how much money your company is making or losing each job. This will only show you the total amount per account.
Clicking on the amount will open the Transaction Detail By Account report. There, it shows the breakdown of the transactions for each account in your Chart of Accounts.
If this is not the case, I recommend running the Verify Rebuild tool. This scans your company file for issues and fixes them right away. Let me show you how in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
To Verify:
- Go to the Window menu and select Close All.
- Then, go to the File menu.
- Select Utilities.
- Click Verify Data.
To Rebuild:
- Go to the File menu.
- Select Utilities.
- Click Rebuild Data.
