Good afternoon,
We use factoring software (Cadence) as our main operating software and use QBO for accounting purposes. The operating software supports and will export a Quickbooks Online Work File in .csv format of all transactions for the day. In a previous job, we used QBD and exported iif files to import into QBD daily. That worked with no problem. With QBO, we had no problem importing our chart of accounts; however, I'm having trouble importing the .csv file of journal entries into QBO. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Hi @irblocker,
Currently, there isn't an option to import journal entries using a CSV file.
In addition, only your bank transactions can be imported to QuickBooks using a CSV file.
I've included an article you may want to read about importing data to QuickBooks: Common Questions About Importing Data to QuickBooks Online.
Lastly, you have the option to search for an integrated app and use it to import your journal entry using a CSV file.
Please let me know if you have any other questions. It'll be always my pleasure to help.
Hello,
You can try to use Business Importer app to import Journal Entries and other entities from .csv/.xlxs files into you QBO Company. It also has many useful features as Export and Schedule Import.
The app has 14 day free trial period, so you can test if it suits your needs.
You'll find it here https://appcenter.intuit.com/b-importer
I hope it will save you a lot of time!
Thank you, I will look into the importer apps.
