JOURNAL ENTRY ISSUE - AFTER QB UPDATE

We recently updated to Enterprise 22.0. We are having an issue with journal entries now. We do multiple line item journal entries to clear our our payroll account and some of the line items are charged to a customer...but not all. Since the update, ALL expense line items get coded to a customer even if the customer name is blank.  How do I correct this?  This never happened prior to the update.

I'm here to help share how you're able to correct your journal entries, @HBurns.

 

We haven't received reports from other customers, like you, whose having issues with the journal entries. Let's repair QuickBooks so you can get rid of the journal entries coded to your customers so you can get back to business in no time. Let me show you how.

 

First set:

  1. Download the QuickBooks Tool hub.
  2. Open and install the downloaded file.
  3. On the QuickBooks Tool app, select Program Problems.
  4. Click Quick Fix my Program.

 

Second set:

  1. Go to Start.
  2. Select Control Panel.
  3. Under Program and Features, select Uninstall a Program.
  4. From the list of applications, select QuickBooks.
  5. Select Uninstall/Change.
  6. Click Repair.

 

Once done, restart your desktop first before working again with QuickBooks. And if the journal entries still posting to your customer name, it is best to delete and recreate them.

JOURNAL ENTRY ISSUE - AFTER QB UPDATE

It's only the entries made since October 15th which is when we did the update. All the entries we made prior to the update are correct.  We have deleted them and reentered them multiple times and the same thing happens. Our IT company is coming in tomorrow and I will ask them to do the steps you recommended.
