2. If the answer to above is yes, can we upload one excel based journal / template for multiple entities?
Thanks in advance.
Welcome to the QuickBooks Community, Omer_S! Yes, you can upload a journal entry. However, you would have to use a CVS file. I am adding some steps if you are interested.
Do note that you need to turn off account numbers before you begin. The account numbers can be turned back on once your import is complete. Journal Entry Line items must be a parent account, entries for sub accounts will need to include the parent account name and the sub account name separated by a colon.
For example, "Parent account: Sub Account". Only entering the sub account name will cause a "Line Account Invalid" error.
Before you import your journal entries, please make sure that everything appears correct in your spreadsheet.
From there, you can import your journal entries by following the steps in this article:
And yes, you can do multiple as well to answer your second question. If you have any other questions or concerns, let me know. My team and I are here to help.
I've followed the steps. I keep getting an error that states:
I'm coping and pasting the COA name exactly so I don't understand. Is it the name of the account that is catching it? If it is then why the heck why?
Doesn't work if you make an account a sub under a main. That's annoying.
Ex: Interest paid-Washington interest

I'm here to provide some additional info so you're able to upload your journal entries in QuickBooks Online.
To fix the "Line Account invalid" error in QuickBooks Online when uploading journal entries, you must ensure sub-accounts in your CSV file are formatted as "Parent Account:Sub Account". Try the upload with the colon, rather than a hyphen, and no spaces around the colon. The article mentioned above (Import journal entries) offers even more details about this process.
