Let this customer pay you by Report?

Is there a way in QB Desktop Pro Plus 2023 to run a customer report that shows if either of the two boxes (Credit Card or Bank Transfer (ACH)) in the Let this customer pay you by box on the Payment Setting tab in the Edit Customer Form?

Let this customer pay you by Report?

Yes, there's a way for you to run a report that shows the customer's payment method for both credit card and bank transfer (ACH)), azpcp.

We can run the Transaction List by Customer report to achieve the data you need. Then, customize Multiple payment methods to reflect them in the report. See the screenshot for your reference.

Let me guide you on how:

  1. Go to Reports on the top menu.
  2. Choose Customers & Receivables.
  3. Select Transaction List by Customer.
  4. Click Customize Report, Then tap Filters.
  5. Enter Payment Method in the search field and choose Multiple payment method. From there, select the payment method set up for Online payments.
  6. Press OK then OK.
  7. Choose the report period in the Dates field.
  8. Press the Refresh button.

To export your reports, just click the Excel drop-down from the report's menu. You can check this link to learn more about how to customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop. We can also run a quick report showing payments totaled by payment methods. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Lists menu.
  2. Choose Customer & Vendor Profile Lists and then Payment Method List.
  3. Right-click any payment method and tap Quick Report.
  4. Click Customize Report.
  5. Set the appropriate date range. Then, go to the Filters tab.
  6. From the Filters list, select Payment Method.
  7. From the Payment Method dropdown, choose Multiple Payment Methods.
  8. Select the payment method you want to show on the report.
  9. Press OK.

You can also easily keep track of your sales and expenses using predefined customer, job, and sales reports in QuickBooks. I've attached a link you can check for future guidance depending on the report type you need: Customize customer, job, and sales reports in QuickBooks Desktop.

Fill me in if you have additional questions about acquiring financial data reports in the company file. We'll be sure to get back to you. Take care always.

Let this customer pay you by Report?

@RCV This is not what I am looking for at all.

I want a report that shows if either of those two boxes in the customer profile are checked.

I am looking for a report that looks something along the lines of this.

Let Customer Pay You By Report 1.png

or like this

Let Customer Pay You By Report 2.png

There can be other data on the report. But I want to know specifically if those two boxes are checked or not.

Let this customer pay you by Report?

Hello there, @azpcp. Let me share some information about adding columns to customer profile list that shows how your customer pay you.

I understand the importance of having this report in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). However, this option is unavailable. I'd recommend sending a feature request directly to our Product Development team. Doing so helps us improve your experience and the features of the program.

Here's how:

  1. Select the Help option.
  2. Select the Send Feedback Online option.
  3. Select the Product Suggestion option. A pop-up window displays.
  4. Enter your feedback suggestion.
  5. Click the Send Feedback button. The feedback is sent.

Just in case you want to memorize this report to save its current customization, you can check out this article for more guidance: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Desktop.
