Yes, QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise allows you to assign a class to an item. I'll guide you on how to do it.
You must first enable class tracking in the Preferences.
Here's how:
- From the Edit menu, choose Preferences on the drop-down.
- Select Accounting from the left pane, then choose the Company Preferences tab.
- Under the CLASS section, put a checkmark to Use class tracking for transactions.
- Check the box beside Assign classes to, and then select Items on the drop-down menu.
- Once done, hit OK.
You can now select Item List from the Lists menu. to add or edit an item and assign a class to it.
