Join nowMy client has over 100 vendors that will need 1099s and wants to start the preparation by finding out which vendors have not yet provided a social security number. There are a number of reports/lists in QBO but none that I could find that includes SSNs. Is there a report or list that I am missing in QBO, or possibly a way to query the vendors to find out which ones do not have a SSN?
I can guide you through the steps of getting the vendor report with SSN in QuickBooks, @TGHockett,
The steps are simple and you only need a Vendor Contact List report to get the data. Follow the steps below:
The information under this column is from the vendor's profile under Business ID No. / Social Security No. field. See this:

If you need anything else, please let me know in the comment below. I'll be right here to guide you with reporting and all other tasks in QBO. Have a nice day!
Thanks for the quick - and easy to follow response, Jen_D.
Just one small point -- when the user gets to the part to select which items to include in the report, its possible (as was in my case) the user needs to click on "show more" in order to see the full list of items that can be included in the report.
In any case, after working with QBO for six+ years its always nice to learn a new feature /trick.
Thanks again, Jen!
