Missing transactions in my online Quickbooks and missing reports.

I am trying to figure out what happened to my 2018 information.  All my information is manually keyed in online Quickbooks, it is not downloaded from the bank.  I tried to enter 2019 and all the reconciled accounts were missing, all the Profit and Loss reports and Balance sheets are gone, all the adjustments are missing as well.  What happened?  QB on line does not back up so I have no back up of all the work I entered only PDF files.  Does QB automatically update online accounts without the approval of the client and maybe this is why the transactions vanished.  I am trying to file an LLC tax return and do not have the previous years info online in order to proceed.  Unless you have a solution to fix these missing transactions, they will have to be re-entered.  Any suggestions on how to fix this corrupt mess?

Thank you,

CAT

Missing transactions in my online Quickbooks and missing reports.

I've got you covered, @806SJ.

Let's first check the Audit Log to check if what happened to your missing transactions.

Here's how:

  1. In your QuickBooks Online account, click the Gear icon and select Audit log.
  2. From the Audit log page, find the 2018 missing transactions.
  3. Review each transaction and check if it was deleted or modified by someone who has access to the account.

Once checked, if the transactions were deleted, you'll have to reenter it again. I know how much time it could take entering those transactions again in QuickBooks, but it's the only way we can do.

However, if the transactions were not deleted nor modified, I suggest logging in to your QBO account using a private browser. This way, we can check if it's a browser data related issue.

If it works, If this works, it means that you need to clear your browser's cache so the system can start fresh.

If you get the same result while using a private browser, I'd suggest using a different one.
