Client has a budget for a project that will take several years to complete and upon completion, will then become an asset on the balance sheet.
What is the best way to set up a budget that can be viewed over the life of the project, not just one year at a time? I don't believe you can create a balance sheet budget so I have currently thought about using the other expense category to track the expenses with the idea to put the total on the balance sheet upon completion of the project.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
