Currently, we have an ongoing investigation (INV-105728) where some categories are missing or not displaying as expected when using the QuickBooks IOS mobile app.

 

If you're using iOS, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks support team to be added to the list of affected users. It will also ensure that you receive prompt updates on the investigation.

 

Here's how you can reach them:

 

  1. In your mobile app, go to the Menu.
  2. Click the Help icon and press ALL.
  3. Choose the Ask QB assistant a question option. Select Contact Us.
  4. Set a specific topic or Ask about something else. Type in a short description in the box provided.
  5. Pick Continue, then hit the Callback option.
     


 

In the meantime, you can re-add the category using the mobile app or open your account through the web browser to move forward.

 

On the other hand, if you're using the Android mobile app, ensure it's updated. Let's refresh the application to isolate the problem. This process is similar to clearing the cache on your web browser. You can follow these steps:

 

  1. Proceed to the Home menu or tap the three dots in the right upper right corner.
  2. Tap on Settings, then select Refresh Data.
  3. Press Yes.

The issue is only on the iPhone app. The expense category do not load unlik on the computer. The expenses that are properly located on the computer appear with the label "no category" on the iphone

  2. Click iPhone Storage, then hit on the QuickBooks Online app.
  3. Select Offload App to free up the storage without deleting its documents and data.
