My list of vendors has disappeared.

When I go to categorize a transaction on the app, my list of vendors is blank. However, when I go to add one it tells me it already exists. How do I recover the list?

Before anything else, know that we appreciate you informing us about being unable to see vendors in your Vendor list section when attempting to categorize bank transactions inside the QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app. Reading through your post, we recommend accessing your company file using a browser to rule out the possibility of having issues with your mobile application. After logging into your QBO company, you'll want to check the vendors in the Vendor section. These are the steps:

 

  1. Access your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. On the left navigational bar, go to the Expenses tab.
  3. Select Vendors.
  4. Check if your vendors are there.

 

Also, if you still see them when categorizing a transaction, you can temporarily categorize your transactions in the web version. See this page for further guidelines: Categorize online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

 

Also, we'd recommend clearing your app's data because it may have something to do with the data stored inside your application. Too many of them may affect your experience using the mobile version of QuickBooks. If you're using an Android device, here's how:

 

  1. Ensure the device is connected to a WIFI or internet.
  2. Go to your phone's settings.
  3. Choose QuickBooks app from the list, then select Storage.
  4. Select clear data.

 

In case you're using iOS or iPad, here's how:

 

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select Setting General iPhone Storage and choose the QBO app.
  3. Choose Offload App. This will free up the storage without deleting your app's documents and data.
