My payroll is being recorded twice: once under Payroll Expense as a journal entry after syncing with Square Payroll; a second time as an Uncategorized Expense. How do I match these two up?

I’m glad to share some information with you, Mike.

Once Square Payroll is connected with QuickBooks Online (QBO), Square data gets automatically imported. This means you don’t need to record them manually in QBO anymore.

You can delete one of them to get rid of the duplicate. This ensures your payroll data is accurate and remains intact. You can use this guide to learn how Square Payroll works with QuickBooks.

Our QuickBooks Resources Center and Support page are also available if you need tips and resources. These sites provide ways to help grow and manage your business. You can select them each and sign up by entering your email address so you’ll get the latest news.

Keep in touch if you need further assistance with payroll. I’ll get back to help and make sure you’re taken care of. Enjoy the rest of the day!
