Buy nowI am working through categorizing bank transactions for one of my accounts and the same charge is appearing 3 times in quickbooks. I've already confirmed it only cleared my bank account once, so I need to get these other 2 transactions off my ledger. How do I do that?
Open the check register, click on the unwanted transaction and then click the Delete button.
Thank you, however there is no delete button. These are transactions that have not yet been categorized, and the only options are to Accept, Edit, or Exclude. I'm not sure if excluding is the same as deleting.
Thanks for replying to this thread, MAlexander1. Allow me to guide you on removing duplicate transactions on your account.
Excluding a transaction removes a transaction from any account registers or financial reports and QuickBooks will stop bringing the transaction into the bank feed again. Deleting them on the other hand will recognize that the transaction is not accounted for and will download the same transaction again from the bank.
Since you want to delete the transactions, you can go ahead and exclude them first. Here's how:
