I have 2 projects for a client and Time Costs (billable hours) for 3 Vendors for each project.. They are 2 different SOWs so they are diff projects for the same client.
I need to find out how many hours were worked by vendor for each individual project. As of now, it will only run the full report ( with both projects together), since the project started - but I only need it for the month of Jan. I can't find a filter for this anywhere under reports or projects. As of now, it runs the full report of Time Cost for Employee for BOTH projects. I need them separated by
Project 1 = X hours for X employee and Project 2 = X hours for X employee.
Thank you
Hoping you get a better answer than mine but last I saw QBO was using "sub-customer" to mimic projects so might not be able to split as you want. I do not use QB for project cost accounting anymore since often not so easy to get standard reports like this. Hopefully my bad answer here helps get you a better more useful one.
Hello, mrm212.
To sort this out, let’s try to run Project Profitability Report in QuickBooks Online.

Indeed you're right, and it is not helpful in order to see the hours per projects (it lumps all projects all together under the main customer).
All of my Client's jobs are project-based (multiple projects under one client) so this is really an unfortunate feature to be missing.
Who do you use for project cost accounting? Was thinking of stopping QB all together since it's been so difficult to get things integrated properly (Contractors/Vendors/Time Tracking) - and now that I see that Quickbooks is not good for project cost accounting, I will have a hard time convincing my client to stick with QBOnline .
I am the person who asked the question, Teri was trying to assist me . This does not really solve the problem. I have a customer with 2 projects. When I run unbilled hours report, (i need to make an invoice), it combines both projects together. I need hours per project separated. There's no feature for that in qbo
Hi there, @mrm212.
I can see the importance of running a report that displays the time cost per project. At this time, you can utilize the available reports from the Project Reports section. From there, export the reports to Excel and make the necessary customization to get the information you need.

That does not sound like project cost accounting to me if you cannot split cost and revenue by individual project where one customer may have multiple projects and of course you need to track hours and dollars by project.
