Tried setting as sub-acct of #1 support (the other 2 accts are sub accts of #1), no luck. What to do to correct this? Thanks in advance.

It's possible that there are some minor data issues with your company file that's why your having issues with your account list. Try running the Rebuild and Verify Utility tool to fix possible data damage on your company file.
