Join nowI'm getting the following message most of the time when trying to start a new EXCEL spreadsheet from one of my reports: Your system might not have enough memory to use Excel. Try again after closing some applications.
I don't have any other Excel spreadsheets open when this happens. This doesn't happen every time I start a new spreadsheet, but there's not pattern to when/why it happens. I'm pretty sure this is not a QB's issue, but I wondered if anyone had had this same problem because QB's is the only place I have this problem with Excel.
Thanks,
Teresa
Chances are you have a lot of programs open that load up when you start your computer. You need to turn them off in your start menu. You can also CTRL-ALT-Delete to open up task manager and see what is running in the background.
I've done that, there's usually nothing besides QB's and my email tab open. I don't understand why I only get this message when I'm trying to save a report to Excel in QB's, I use Excel all day long and never get this message anywhere else.

I've got the same issue going on with one of our users, getting the warning: Your system might not have enough memory to use Excel. Try again after closing some applications.
I've gone through the suggestion of re-installing the MS Office suite and re-installing, but still get the warning when trying to send a report to Excel, any other idea as to why this warning is popping up?

Hello alopez1,
The error message you're getting tells either the computer doesn't have it installed or there is damage to the MS Office installation. You can try the following recommendations.
Solution 1: Update MS Office as well as your Windows.
Solution 2: Perform quick repair of the Office installation.
Solution 3: Try saving a sample Excel file on your computer to see if you're still getting this error. If yes, you can try saving a report from QuickBooks using a different computer.
Solution 4: You can reach out to MS Office support team to get further help with the software.
If you have any additional questions, let us know. We'll be right here to help.
This isn't a pc error as it is happening on different workstations. Appears to be a QuickBooks bug that needs to be fixed.
