Number of Open Invoices

Is there a report or a setting that will tell me the NUMBER of open invoices? I have searched and all I can find is the report to view a list of open invoices, but they aren't numbered or anything. I'd like to be able to view exactly how many invoices a customer has open with us, and how many invoices we have open for all customers at any given time.

Number of Open Invoices

Hi there, @bookkeeperCP

I understand how important having a report that would provide the number of an open invoices, currently it's unavailable. Let me share other options to help you with your concern.

First is to utilize your customer's profile and do a manual count for the invoice number. Here's how:

  1. In your QuickBooks file, go to the Customers menu.
  2. Choose Customer Center, select the customer you wish to modify.
  3. In the customers section, select invoice in the show option.
  4. Select open invoices from the Filter by.

Next is to export your open invoices and filter the number count in the excel. Follow these steps below:

  1. Click Customer Center in the main menu to open the customer list.
  2. Press to display the customers that you want to include the list. You may need to tap the Customers and Jobs tab at the top of the screen to view all customers.
  3. Hit the Excel down-arrow button in the Customer Center menu bar at the top of the screen. Select Export Customer List from the pull-down menu.
  4. Select the Export to a Comma Separated Values (.csv) file.
  5. Tap the Export button to create the list.
