I'm here to share some insights about posting invoice payments' status in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @currentconnectme. This way, you're able to manage your sales and income transactions accordingly.
When an online payment is made and posted (shows invoice as paid), there'll be a time lag between when it hits the bank and shows up as deposited in QuickBooks. Then, there'll be a STATUS difference depending on where you view the invoice.
If you view the invoice from the Sales menu's All Sales tab, the STATUS of the said transaction will show that it's Paid. While if you view the invoice from the Sales menu's Invoices tab, it'll tell you that it's already been Deposited. With this, I'd recommend visiting the above-mentioned tabs to check. Please see the screenshots below for your reference.

Then, I'd recommend pulling up the Invoices and Receive Payments report. It'll help you monitor the payments you’ve received and the invoices that go with them. To do this, go to the Who owes you section from the Reports menu's Standard tab.
