P & L Budget vs. Actual Report

I have QB Desktop/Mac.  I've created a budget and when I try to pull any of the reports no actual budget figures appear on the report.  For example when I do the P&L Budget vs. Actual report the 'actual' numbers pull in but nothing is in the columns of Budget, $ over budget, % of budget.

P & L Budget vs. Actual Report

We're pleased to have you here in the Community, scsblue. Thanks for posting.

I'll share with you some information that could help you pull up the best report.

Let's begin by checking how you set up the budget. Please be aware that the Budget Reports in QuickBooks will reflect all expense and income accounts in the Chart of Accounts. The data, however, is determined by how the budget is set up.

Next, ensure that the correct fiscal year is used for reporting. Follow the steps below to see if it matches your company settings:

  1. Select My Company from the Company menu.
  2. Choose Report Information by clicking the Pencil icon.
  3. Check the First-month field in your fiscal year to ensure that the correct month is selected. If necessary, update.
  4. Click OK.

If you've tried everything and the issue still persists, you can recreate the budget for the same Fiscal Year. Then, launch a new Budget vs. Actual report to see if it does the same thing. To create a new one, follow the instructions in this article: Create a budget or forecast in QuickBooks Desktop.

Lastly, delete the old budget. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Company menu, choose Planning & Budgeting, and then click Set Up Budgets.
  2. Click the Budget drop-down list and select the budget that you want to delete.
  3. Additionally, you can specify the Class or Customer: Job if necessary.
  4. Go to the Edit menu found at the top toolbar, and click Delete Budget.
  5. Press Yes to confirm the action.

P & L Budget vs. Actual Report

Thank you.  I followed the instructions and ended up deleting budget and redoing it a few different ways but none of them pull any data into the report I'm looking for.
