P&L Budget vs Actual

Yes, there's a way to eliminate items that don't have a budget, MJ3865.

All you need to do is customize the report to get the data you need. Let me show you how:

  1. On the Profit & Loss Budget vs. Actual report, click Customize Report.
  2. Go to the Filters tab.
  3. Find Item from the Choose Filter section.
  4. Select Multiple items, then choose items with budgets.
  5. Click OK.

I've added this link to learn how to manage your financial statements: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop.

If you need a copy of this statement, you can export the report to Excel, and save it on your computer.

Keep me posted if there are other reports you need in QuickBooks. I'll be right here to help you.

MaryLandT,

Thank you for the quick response!

I also found that you can filter out the $0 lines by:

Customize Report

Advanced and then checking the box for Non-Zero on the display rows heading.
