Thank you for coming back to the QuickBooks Community, JBuf. I'll be sharing steps to ensure you can export the Profit and Loss report by department.
QuickBooks Desktop allows you to customize any report that you generate. With this, I suggest running and customizing the Profit and Loss Detail report so you add a column for class and choose the specific one, then export this by the department.
Here's how:
- Click the Reports menu at the top.
- Select Company & Financial and Profit and Loss Detail report.
- Click the Customize Report button.
- Go to the Display button and choose Class, then click the Filters button and select the particular class.
- Click OK to save the customization report.
- Click the Excel drop-down arrow, then choose Export.
