Pick, Pack, and Ship Reporting or Export

Question

Is there a way to export the data in the Sales Order Fulfillment Worksheet to Excel or CSV? Alternatively, in what table can I find the data used by the Sales Order Fulfillment Worksheet (e.g. Sales Order State, Fulfilled Quantity, Picker, Packer) so that I can include it in a report in Advanced Reporting? I need to create a report showing the Sales Orders that have been sent for Picking or Packing, or have Shipped.

Detailed Issue

I recently started using the Sales Order Fulfillment Worksheet to Pick, Pack, and Ship sales orders. This process utilizes data in several fields that are visible both on the Sales Order and in the Sales Order Fulfillment Worksheet tabs.

For example, in the Sales Order, I can see the following new columns related to the sales order fulfillment process:

  • Status (e.g., Open, Sent for Pick, Sent for Pack, Picked, Packed, Shipped)
  • Fulfilled Quantity

In the Sales Order Fulfillment Worksheet, the following columns are visible that appear to store information specifically for this process:

  • Status (e.g., Open, Sent for Pick, Sent for Pack, Picked, Packed, Shipped)
  • Ship Details
  • Notes (specifically, notes which are entered during the pick and pack stages)
  • Picklist Name
  • Picker
  • Packing List Name
  • Packer

The records generated in the Sales Order Fulfillment Worksheet (e.g. by sending an order for Picking) are not deleted when the Sales Order from which they were created is closed or deleted, and there does not appear to be any way to delete these records. Clicking on the "Order No." field of a Pick or Pack record from a deleted Sales Order opens a message box that states "This transaction does not exist in the company file." This indicates that the records are being stored separately from the Sales Orders. They do not appear to be stored in the Transactions table, so my guess would be that they are stored in a separate table. However, so far I have been unable to identify in which table they are stored.

Pick, Pack, and Ship Reporting or Export

Hello, bwolf.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. You can pull up Open Sales Orders by Item Report and an Open Purchase Orders Detail Report to show the information needed. Then you can export and combine it in Excel spreadsheet

Also, there are three main processes in fulfilling sales orders. Identify the orders you need to fill and depending on your business needs, proceed with any of the following workflows:

  • Workflow 1: Pick > Pack > Ship
  • Workflow 2: Pick > Ship
  • Workflow 3: Ship

Ship

The Sales Order Fulfillment Worksheet makes it easy to create your shipping labels if you are using Shipping Manager.

  1. From the Dashboard, find the sales order to shipping.
  2. Go to the Action column and select Print shipping label.
  3. Select the desired shipping method:
    • FedEx package
    • UPS package
    • USPS package
  4. You’ll see a confirmation screen, select Next.
  5. Select the package(s) to ship then NextNote: You can only print shipping labels for one site at a time. You can choose to print shipping labels for packages not on the screen by checking None of the above. This will open a shipping label you can complete manually and print.
  6. If this is the very first time you use this process, you’ll need to sign into Shipping Manager using your carrier service account information (i.e. FedEx, UPS, etc) and set it up if you haven’t already done so.
  7. Information already in the system will be entered into the form in Shipping Manager (From/To address and # of packages); complete any additional information.
  8. Select Ship.
  9. When the process is completed, you’ll receive a confirmation screen with cost and shipping details.
  10. If you select to Print to form in the Shipping Manager dialog, the tracking number and shipping costs get updated on the original sales order form.
  11. You’ll see a confirmation screen. The shipping details will be updated and can be viewed by selecting the View Details link on the Dashboard.

Pick, Pack, and Ship Reporting or Export

Hello,

You didn't answer the OP's question about how to delete completed pick lists from the pick list tab.
I also need to know this information. Having hundreds of 'Complete' pick lists piling up on the pick list tab is not acceptable.

What is the process for removing old pick lists from the pick tab using the desktop client?

Thanks,

Pick, Pack, and Ship Reporting or Export

Hi Jeremy-MEBC,

I'm here to share some insight about deleting completed orders.

Right now, the only way to clear the orders is by manually updating them one by one in the QuickBooks system. Clearing by batch isn't an option yet at this time, so I recommend sending feedback to our Product Development team.

You can do it by clicking the Help menu. Then, select Send Feedback Online and then Product Suggestion.

Please read this handy article for more information about pick tab: Pick tab in Sales Order Fulfillment.

Pick, Pack, and Ship Reporting or Export

Hello,

I'm fine with not deleting them by batch.

Can you please explain how to do delete completed 'Picks' from the Pick tab one at a time? That is what I cannot figure out how to do and need to know.

Thanks,
