POS inventory valuation report not showing & not reading inventory correctly.

My QB POS 19.0 has developed a recent issue. When running an Inventory Valuation report it will say "Reading Inventory, 1890 items processed", then nothing. It won't display the report. But the other troubling thing is we have 30,521 items in inventory. Granted half those items are quantity "0" but we keep them in case they come back in stock. Any idea how I can get it to read all items (at least those with quantity and value) and then actually display it? Thanks!

Hello there, @twister25f.

We appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention, and I'm here to help you troubleshoot this so you can get back to managing your inventory efficiently. Let's go through repairing your QuickBooks Point of Sale to fix this.

Here's how:

  1. Open Windows Settings by clicking the bottom-left Windows logo and clicking the Gear icon.
  2. Select Apps (Uninstall, defaults).
  3. Click the QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale and select Modify.
  4. In the Point of Sale Installation window, press Next and the Repair radio button.
  5. Select Next again and click Repair.
  6. Click Finish

However, if the issue persists, I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the app to ensure it runs your inventory properly. Also, please note that Intuit has already discontinued QuickBooks Point of Sale. You can continue using it, but there will be no future updates.
